Class A Equipment Details
Customers are responsible for verifying that the available equipment configuration is suitable for their DPS test requirements before confirming access.
Air-Brake Configuration
Air-brake configuration is confirmed before scheduling. Customers with air-brake restrictions on their CLP must verify suitability with Texas DPS requirements before requesting access.
Transmission Type
Transmission type is confirmed during availability review. Customers with automatic-transmission restrictions must verify suitability before confirming access.
Safety & Supervision
Safety Rules & Required Supervision
- A CLP holder generally may not operate a commercial motor vehicle on public roads without a properly licensed CDL holder present. Required supervision is included in the access fee when applicable.
- Equipment use is limited to confirmed dates, locations, and conditions stated in the rental agreement.
- FastPass CDL may refuse or suspend access for safety rule violations at any time.
- A safety briefing may cover equipment rules and safe use. It does not constitute vocational instruction.
Test-Day Availability
Test-Day Vehicle Availability & Substitution
FastPass CDL plans equipment continuity when confirmed and operationally available. Safety or maintenance needs may require a comparable substitute vehicle. Test-day vehicle availability is confirmed only in writing after the rental agreement is signed and payment is received.
If DPS changes or cancels your appointment, specific reschedule and cancellation terms are stated in the rental agreement. Contact FastPass CDL immediately if your DPS appointment changes.
Eligibility
Who Can Request Class A Access
- Valid Texas Class A CLP with applicable restrictions and endorsements
- Any legally required medical certification and ELDT status
- Required CLP holding period (verify with Texas DPS)
- Confirmed or planned DPS appointment in Wichita Falls
- Safety approval and compliance with rental rules
Out-of-state applicants are not eligible. People working toward a CLP may receive information but may not schedule vehicle operation. FastPass CDL does not accept requests from applicants who do not yet hold a valid Texas CLP.
Texas DPS controls testing, scoring, licensing, locations, and appointment availability. FastPass CDL does not issue a CDL, guarantee a test result, or provide classroom ELDT theory. Equipment and service availability are subject to eligibility review and written terms.
